North Penn Conceptual Site/Floor Plan

The North Penn High School and Blossburg Elementary Renovation and Reconstruction project is progressing with an anticipated ground breaking in May 2012. The District is going out to bid for the project on January 2, 2012 and will have a bid meeting at the NPHS auditorium on January 16th for the contractors to have a "walk through" of the building. Some features of the conceptual plan:

New construction of elementary classrooms

New construction of secondary classrooms- corner of Granger and Carpenter Streets (could be one or two stories)

New construction of library and cafeteria areas

New construction of a secondary gym on Morris Street

Conversion of current elementary classrooms into secondary classrooms
This plan will begin with new construction, moving students into the new portions and finishing with the demolition of the old NPHS. This format will minimize the use of any portable classrooms.
We will continue to provide updates via the website and feel free to attend a Southern Tioga School Board work session or board meeting and participate in this exciting project.
