CHILD NEED SUPPORT?
email Ms. Brenneman

My name is Ms. Colleen Brenneman and I am the Speech and Language Teacher for STSD. I prefer to be called the Communication Support Teacher as the many areas in which I assist students include articulation, auditory memory, grammar, phonemics, verbal comprehension and critical thinking skills. I also teach a weekly lesson in each kindergarten class in the district. Let me share a few facts about myself and also information that may be helpful to you about your child’s or student's language development and lessons we learn in kindergarten. There are also some fun links for children and families to visit together!

My Schedule is:

  • Day 1 and 3 Blossburg Elementary
  • Day 2 and 5 Warren L. Miller Elementary
  • Day 4 and 6 Liberty Elementary
  • Email: cbrenneman@southerntioga.org

Personal Interests

•My personal interests that I share with my students are my dogs: Logan, a German Short Haired Pointer and Brodie my Boxer. After over 20 years of having Great Danes, my last one died this summer. I have become a cat rescuer also, and have 6 cats! Zelda is the queen of the household and is 14. Everyone else is at some varying stage of "kittenhood". They are: Aberdeen, Ursala, Fiona, Alfie and the only male, McTavish.

•I also share my great joy in reading all types of books

•My love of the woods and animals

•Hockey and Penn State Football

•I have been teaching for 28 years. I have my Bachelor’s from Penn State in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Master’s from Mansfield in Special Education.
