ACCOUNTING PAGE
Accounting I was taught during Block 1 (8:15-9:42) at Mansfield High School. The course meets Monday-Friday for 18 weeks. Students in Accounting I learn to classify accounts as assets, liabilities, capital, withdrawals, revenue, and expense. In addition to classifying accounts, students learn the steps in the accounting cycle for a service type business with a sole owner. Banking and Payroll are also taught at this time. Accounting II is taught Block 1. Continuing from Accounting I, students learn to use special journals to record transactions for a merchandising business.
