LAPAT Minutes

President Cathleen Alexander called the meeting to order at 3:25. In attendance were Cathleen Alexander (president), Carolyn Moyer (treasurer), Lisa Williams (secretary).
Carolyn gave the treasurer’s report. There is a balance of $5,796.69. Deposits were made from business for contributions to the Mobile Ag Science lab.
Old Business:
The Mobile Ag. Ed. Lab is continuing to receive contributions from local businesses. LAPAT is still waiting for all contributions to be made from the school and other sources.
Boxtops for Education were collected and an income of $1,060.50 will be received by LAPAT. Thanks to all community members who contributed.
Wolfgang sale is complete. A profit of approximately $5,000 was made. Thanks to the community for supporting our annual and sole fundraiser.
No developments have been made about hard copies of newsletters after speaking with the school secretary.
New Business:
Providing a PSSA treat for students was discussed. No decision was made.
Quarters for students will be provided by LAPAT for the 2nd grade Carnival.
LAPAT will start a list of names of volunteers for volunteer appreciation. If you know anyone who gave time for a LAPAT cause, please submit their name.
Staff appreciation will be held the second week of May after student teachers have finished. Kelly Kelly will be contacted about catering the event and parents will provide desserts.
Requests:
Battle of the Books and OM teams request $5.00 per student to offset cost of T-shirts for their competitions.
