The North Penn Blue Thunder Percussion Ensemble is proud to begin it’s second year of existence. The Ensemble includes students from grades 7-12 in the Southern Tioga School District.

Our 2008 Show takes you on a journey through some of the best video games of all times. Watch, listen, and see how many of these games you’ve enjoyed throughout your life!

The Ensemble would like to thank our parents first for their support in making this program possible! Special thanks to the “Drum Mom” Lisa Everett and “Drum Dad” Ivan Erway, and the world’s best busdriver Roberta Medycki. Blue Thunder is under the Direction of Mr. Jon Ruth. Music and drill is arranged by Jon Ruth. Staff includes Evan Buschbascher, Colin DeLap, Brandon Luce, Shaun Donahue, Gloria Schwab, and Drew Bastian. Special thanks to the Blue and White Music Boosters for their support, to the Rising Stars Color Guard and Director Mrs. Deb Moyer, to North Penn Principal Mr. Bill David, the School Board and the  Southern Tioga Superintendent Mr. Joseph Kalata for your continued support of this new activity in our school.

The Blue Thunder Percussion Ensemble is a member of the Tournament Indoor Association (TIA), which is a regional circuit of Winter Guard International (WGI). These organizations sponsor competitions throughout the Winter and Spring for Percussion Ensembles and Indoor Color Guards, as well as other indoor marching music activities. These organizations have grown exponentially around the country in the past several decades, and we are excited to be promoting the growth of these activities in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania! We'll be traveling throughout the region to compete in festivals with TIA this Spring, culminating with a trip to the All-Chapter Championships in Wildwood, NJ!
