MINUTES: BOARD OF EDUCATION–December 7, 2009
The meeting of the Board of Education of the Southern Tioga School District was called to order by Board President Barbara Shull, with the following members present: Barbara Shull, Ivan Erway, Roxanne Landis, Stuart Crossen, Dan Berguson, Frank Kollar, Terry Osborne, and Susan Jaquish, and Gloria Schwab.
Also present were Messrs: Kalata, Rakoski, Jaquish, Lindner, Mrs. Drabick, Mrs. Crowell, Mrs. Perry, Mrs. Sick and interested teachers and citizens.
On motion of Mr. Erway and second of Mr. Kollar, Terry Osborne was nominated to serve as temporary President. Hearing no additional nominations the Board voted 9 to 0 to elect Mr. Osborne.
Board Secretary, James Rakoski, administered the oath of office to newly re-elected Board members Frank Kollar, Barbara Shull, Susan Jaquish, and Terry Osborne.
On motion of Mrs. Jaquish and second of Mr. Berguson, Barb Shull was nominated to serve as President. Hearing no additional nominations the Board voted 9 to 0 to elect Ms. Shull.
On motion of Mr. Crossen and second of Ms. Shull, Ivan Erway was nominated to serve as Vice President. Hearing no additional nominations the Board voted 9 to 0 to elect Mr. Erway.
On motion of Ms. Shull and second of Mr. Erway, Penny Crowell was nominated to serve as Secretary for the remainder of the term. Hearing no additional nominations, the Board voted 9 to 0 to elect Mrs. Crowell.
On motion of Mr. Berguson and second of Mrs. Schwab the Board voted 9 to 0 to adjourn the meeting.
