Assignment : This is independent practice in class to ensure they understand the lesson essential question.  A good time to have differentiated tasks and incorporate writing across the curriculum. 

An assignment, project, activity, product, etc. that demonstrates an understanding of the LESSON essential question. Extended thinking task (analyzing, evaluating, creating) when appropriate.
