WELCOME: Cathleen Alexander called the meeting to order at 3:25 p.m.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Lisa Cendoma read the minutes from April, there was a correction on the price of ticket that was typed incorrectly from April. *(See Blockhouse Giveaway for correction)

TREASURER’S REPORT: Balance for checking is $7115.34 and savings $7495.37 for a total of $14610.71. 4th grades field trip will need to be paid but we will not know the total until the actual day of this trip. We have no more requests at this time but we are awaiting bills to come in from the bus drivers for several field trips that are already over with. We will have another meeting this school year to give Carolyn Moyer time to get the books a little more in order.

OLD BUSINESS:

READING SPECIALIST: Title I teacher Lisa Williams informed us that Liberty will have the funding next year for the reading specialist, but there still is no guarantee that this is always continue. Please log into www.paschoolfunding.org and voice any concerns. Tioga county is under funded by $5 million a year for reading specialist and other federally funded programs.

TV TURN OFF WEEK: TV turn off week is done and all taken care of. We had a total of 66 participants this year.

BLOCKHOUSE GIVEAWAY: The tickets for the Play Station 3 giveaway will be $3 each or 2 for $5.

Lisa Cendoma will check with Liberty Exxon to try to get donations for second or third prize giveaways, hopefully a gas card, or a cash prize if gas card is not available.

Mr. Lindor will look in to getting our school a small games license for any future games of chance that we may host.

NEW BUSINESS:

NEXT YEARS WOLFGANG SALE: We needed to give Wolfgang a date so they could give us the early sign on bonus of 1% extra. We chose to start this sale on Feb. 19 and end it on March 2.

CHANGE IN MEETING DATES: We talked about changing the meetings from the first Thursday of the month to the second Thursdays of each month. There was a motion made by Carolyn Moyer, seconded by Lisa Williams, the meetings will now be held the second Thursday of each month. We will still rotate from 3:30 to 7:30 every other month.

We have also added a June meeting for this school year. This will be held June 2nd, after school at 3:30.

In an effort to bring in more members to LAPAT, we are working on ways to possible form sub-committee to handle individual subjects. This way we can shorten our meeting time and hopefully draw more members in.

THANK YOU NOTES: Lapat received thank you notes from Enrichment Class, and 2nd grade.

REQUESTS: No new requests at this time.

STAFF DINNER: We will be able to send email invitations out to all the staff. Cathleen is going to be calling volunteers to bring in desserts and fruit trays for this event. We also need help setting up the tables.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:30 pm by Carolyn Moyer, seconded by Lisa Cendoma. See you at our next meeting, June 2, 2008, 3:30 pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Lisa Cendoma, Fundraising Coordinator
