National and local scholarship opportunities are available for students through the Guidance Office.  For deadlines and current scholarship opportunites, stop in at the Guidance Office and look in our scholarship drawer or follow the links below.

Never pay for a scholarship search!! 

Some companies will try to get you to pay them to find you scholarships. They will "guarantee" a certain number of scholarships that you will be eligible to apply for.  These are scams.  You can get the same information from other resources that are free, reputable services.  The following links will provide you with web site searches for national scholarships that you may be eligible to receive and it is FREE!

ABBOTT AND FENNER SCHOLARSHIP: $1000

AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available for veterans' dependents and members of the American Legion family.  For more information, please visit www.needalift.org

BIG SUN SCHOLARSHIP: $500

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. ESCHOOLVIEW SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

This contest is for students interested in pursuing Web design or development in college.  This contest asks students to develop a home page or splash page and one interior page for a Web site.  Please see Guidance for details.

MASONIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship, grant, and loan opportunities primarily for Masons, their siblings, children, grandchildren, and members of Masonic-related youth groups.  For more information, please stop by the guidance office or visit www.pmyf.org

ROBERT C. EDWARDS FOUNDATION: $1000

DUE: MAY 4, 2012

The applicant must be from a borough which is a member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB).  (Liberty Borough is a member.) The applicant must have been accepted for admission to an accredited College, University or School which offers a two or four year degree/certificate program.  The scholarship is for the first year (freshman) at the College, University or School.  For more information, please stop by the guidance office.  

PACB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS: UP TO FIVE $1000 RENEWABLE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers has established a Foundation that will provide scholarships to children of PACB member institutions' employees and directors. The scholarships are available to high school seniors who are planning to attend an accredited college, university, or community college on a full-time basis.  For more information, please stop by the guidance office.

SPOKES SCHOLARSHIP: $250

DUE: MAY 5, 2012

This scholarship is for students who have a parent or grandparent employed by the Laurel Health System and who plan to pursue a career in the health care field.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office

SUNTRUST OFF TO COLLEGE SWEEPSTAKES: $1000

DUE: DRAWING EVERY 2 WEEKS STARTING IN OCTOBER

High school seniors can enter for a chance to win a $1000 scholarship. Only one entry per person for each drawing, however students can register to win after each completed drawing for the next scheuduled drawing.
