Social Studies

We just finished studying the Civil War in social studies.  The children learned the causes, the differences between the north and south, nicknames for the north and south, and interesting facts about both sides.  At the end of our unit we went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where students pretended they were Civil War soldiers and the learned to care for the wounded.
