The PCAB Foundation Scholarship Fund

$1000 scholarship available to students who are the children of full time emplyees or directors of member financial institutions.  For a list of qualifying banks and institutions please stop by the guidance office.  Applications are also available in the guidance office.  Application deadline is 2/17/2012.

Man Mac Automatic Scholarship

Man Mac Transmission Scholarship is for eligible students who are planning to enroll in an undergraduate program in the fall of 2012.  The school must be located in the United States or Canada.  Applications and more information available at www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php

Big Dig Scholarship

Interested students must be in grade 12 and plan to enter college in 2012.  Essay of up to 1000 words is required and the topic is available at www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php

Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship

Vancouver Restaurant Scholarship

Odenza Marketing Scholarship

Davidson Fellows Scholarships

Students must be 18 or younger as of October 4.  Students must be a US citizen residing in the United States.  Applications are available at www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php.  Application deadline is February 1, 2012

NHS Scholarship Program

Senior students who are in good standing in their NHS chapters may be nominated to compete in this program.  More information is available at www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php

Guthrie Health Professions Scholarship Program

Two scholarship opportunites are available for seniors who are either entering the health professions or seniors who are the children of Guthrie employees.  The award amount is $2,600.  Applications and more information are available in the Guidance office or online at www.guthrie.org/press-releases.

Application deadline is Friday January 28, 2012.

2012 Masonic Scholarships

Information on scholarships, grants, and loan opportunities for Masons, their siblings, grandchildren, and members of Masonic-related youth groups is available in the Guidance office and online at www.pmyf.org.  The booklet may be viewed or loaned out and the information is also available online at the listed link.

American Legion Financial Aid Information

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award

Young entrepreneurs who are graduating from high school this year are eligible to receive a 2012 NFIB Young Entrepreneur award from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation.  Qualified candidates must be operating a small business.  For more information and details of how to apply please visit www.NFIB.com/YEA. Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants

National Co-Op Scholarships for students applying to WACE Partner Institutes

Students who are applying to WACE institutes who have a GPA of 3.5 or better and have completed an application and been accepted at one of the following universities are eligible to apply: Drexel, Johnson & Wales, Kettering, RIT, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, or Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Carolyn Matthews Memorial Scholarship

Students will be nominated by the Guidance Counselor for this $1000 scholarship. Students need to show that they have overcome enormous obstacles or have been innovative and generous in donating their time to their school, church, and community.

Nominations are due by February 16, 2012

A Hope 4 Lyme Scholarship

2 $500 scholarships are available for a student who is diagnosed or treated for Lyme disease or has been affected by Lyme disease through an immediate family member, or pursuing a career in the medical field.

Applications are available in the Guidance Office and application deadline is February 16, 2012.

Preference is given to those affected by Lyme Disease.

KFC Colonel's Scholars

Online applications will be accepted from December 1, 2011 through February 8, 2012. To qualify students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. plan to enroll at a public college or university within their state of residence, pursue a bachelor's degree, be a US citizen, and demonstrate financial need.

Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation of Western/Central Pa is offering 6 $1000 scholarships for students who have epilepsy or seizure disorder.  Scholarships must be submitted no later than March 30, 2012. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or more information can be found by calling Francine Reyher at 1-800-361-5885.

Pennsylvania American Legion

Offers a variety of scholarships for qualifying students. Students in grades 9-12 may compete in the 77th Annual Essay Contest and the 2012 High School Oratorical Contest. For the essay contest, information on the topic and application deadlines are available in the Guidance Office. For the Oratorical contest, topic and regulations are available in the Guidance Office. Information is also available online at www.pa-legion.com .

AXA Achievement Scholarship

in association with US News and World Report . A winner will be awarded in every state, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rice. Scholarships range up to $25,000. Applications deadline in December 1, 2011

2012 Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs

High school seniors who are committed to pursuing a bachelor's degree at a public or private institution in the United States are eligible to apply. Students must show critical financial need, be involved in co-curricular or community activities, be a US citizen and have a minimum GPA of 2.0

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

High school students who demonstrate exemplary community service are eligible to apply.  Awards are presented on the local, state, and national level. Wendy's High School Heisman

One male and one female national winner - $10,000.  Seniors apply online.  Criteria in academic achievements,athletic achievements, community leadership, and involvement in extra curricular activities.  Applications must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on October 2, 2011.  Apply at www.wendysheisman.com.

United Steel Workers - District 10 - Scholarship program in memory of Hugh Carcella

6 - four year scholarships totaling $4000 ($1000 per year) will be awarded to senior students who are members in good standing, or the son or daughter or legal ward of a member of a United Steelworkers, District 10 local union that is participating in the scholarship program. Students must be working towards a four year degree. More information is available in the Guidance Office for any student who might meet the award requirements. Applications are available from participating local unions and must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2012.

Women's Transportation Seminar $1000 Scholarship

Female Seniors who are enrolling in a two or four year college program for science, technology, engineering, or math are eligible for this one time scholarship. Submissions are due November 7, 2011. Never pay for a scholarship search!! 

Some companies will try to get you to pay them to find you scholarships.
