NP-Mansfield Students Qualify for FBLA National Competition

FBLA students at NPMHS had an incredible year and their projects were recognized at the state competition, with 2 projects qualifying for the FBLA National Competition.

STATE COMPETITION:                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Alex Stein – Impromptu Speaking, and Patelin Nowak – Electronic Career Portfolio, placed into the top 10 of their project categories. Olivia DiMarco and Natalie Ritter were inducted into the National Business Honor Society and the NPMHS Chapter received the Gold Seal Award of Merit. The Local Chapter Annual Business Report was ranked as 7th place.

NATIONAL QUALIFIERS:                                                                                                                                                                                                            Cassie Brooks, Grace Tice, and Olivia DeMarco took 3rd place in the category of Student Journalism for the ‘Rise and Roar Student News.’

Also taking third place was the NP-Mansfield Community Service Project. The students set out on a mission to help students and families within our district. They organized and hosted a Harlem Wizards Game at the end of October and through community business sponsorships and event ticket sales, they were able to raise $4,000. They donated a total of $2,000 to the Mansfield Area Food Pantry, $500 was donated to the Mansfield Shoe Bank, and $1,500 was used to purchase winter clothing for elementary students.

The National Competition will take place June 29 – July 1 and we wish our North-Penn Mansfield team the best of luck!
