Finch earns top scholarship; Colegrove, Boyer named finalists

MANSFIELD – The Greater Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce named Sam Finch, a senior at North Penn-Mansfield High School, the Youth Leader of Tomorrow at a Feb. 27 banquet. Finch rose above 22 other leaders from three high schools during an essay and interview process, said Youth Leader Committee Chair Kathy Telep.

Finch was the finalist for his school. The other finalists were Josiah Cole­grove for New Covenant Academy and Tyler Boyer for North Penn-Liberty High School. All three finalists will receive scholarship and Finch will receive an additional scholarship. Amounts are still being determined.

Finch is the son of Brad and Janet Finch of Mansfield. He has served as class vice president and National Honor Society chapter president. Finch is also an amateur filmmaker and recording artist. He plans to attend law school and become a constitutional lawyer.
